Western Red Cedar Cladding
Our standard external wall finish is Western red cedar cladding.
Vertical cladding has been chosen for its superior weathering properties, faster rain run-off times and better moisture resistance. Stainless steel fixings are used in attaching the cladding to the main timber frame, ensuring no compromise on the durability of the structure. The cladding's colour, over time, will change and weather to a pale silvery grey patina. The cladding can be stained or coated as desired, introducing a low level of maintenance as required.
MarleyEternit Cedral fibre cement rain screen cladding is a non-combustible alternative to timber cladding. Sand, cement, water and wood cellulose materials are combined to make a multi-layered structure which is durable, rot and impact resistant.
The surface of the planks is embossed with a wood effect texture resembling cedar. Our standard colour is the factory applied paint (C18 Slate Grey), providing a low maintenance finish. Complementary aluminium profiled corner and window trims complete the system details and provide an attractively finished facade.
The planks are fixed horizontally onto vertical timber battens which create a vented cavity behind them and are fitted together flush with hidden clips, for a modern and contemporary look.
Cedral Click is one of the most environmentally friendly, technically advanced, vented rain screen cladding; an ideal choice for low maintenance outdoor rooms.
